About Stop Motion

There are various forms of stop motion. There is stop motion of objects or people and there is stop motion with clay people (more commonly known as claymaiton).

This video is very clever and one of my favorite. The creator took real images (in the same way one would take digital images for an on-screen stop motion video) and strung them together around his house thus bringing the pictures to life and telling a story through stop motion. Very creative.

Stop motion is really very simiple. Just follow these 3 rules.
1) Move your object ever so slightly.
2) Take picture.
3) Repeat from step 1.
And thats really all there is too it.

I will now post a few videos of different forms of stop-motion.

One the earliest forms of stop-motion is called the Zeotrope and it goes something like this.
