First meeting with a 'real' client

"A funny tale of monstrous humans and humane monsters with a one-eyed octopus called Barbara and a mouse called Alan thrown in for good measure. Oh and a little girl called Deirdre who isn't quite what she seems..."

For an upcoming assignment in stop-motion animation, my teacher got into contanct with Adam Perrott, an author of a new children's book, and we are going to be animating a part of the book for him.

Today, after a long time, we finally met the author and his publisher to discuss the book and which part he wished for us to animate. We shortlisted three scenes of the book which we though we could animate. The dialogue for our animation will be provided by the author from the abridged audio-book version he has just recorded.

I am not such a fan of stop-motion as I find it a pretty boring form of animation (move model, press space bar. move model, press space bar. move model, press space bar....) But nonetheless for the sake of 'peace in the class' I will join in and help as much as I can.

Stay tuned for updates.
