Today was as bad as a day could get. It all started with me waking up with a headache and a sore throat and things didn't get better.
I made it uneventfully to college looking forward to editing the footage we have so carefully been filming over the past 5 weeks. But, as the Yiddish Proverb goes - "Man plans and G-d laughs" and in this case G-d really did have the last laugh! As we were were plugging the the cameras into the computer to upload the footage we found that one of the tapes was completely blank. Not one short second of our filming had made it onto the tape.

I was fuming, not because I had lost all the footage (i mean, i was annoyed about that as well), but I was even more livid by the lack of cooperation by some of the group.
Over the past weeks I had noticed that some of the group had been doing far more work than others. But what got me today was when one of them started making comments about how careless and stupid we had been and we should have checked the footage as we filmed it. I felt like turning to that person and saying: "Shut up! Where were you during the filming? I gave you one lousy job* to do and even that you couldn't do. If your'e not going to help then you have no right to critisise what we did or didn't do." But, I kept my cool and didn't ay anything. (I must admit, she did have a point, we should have checked to make sure the footage was good But, the fact is we didn't and we didn't have the footage. I didn't mind hearing this from the teacher [who also made the same point], but I cannot hear it from someone who helped zilch with this project.)
Anyway, we decided to re-film bits of footage that were essential to the completion of our assignment. This involved me going through the 8 pages of log-sheets and seeing what was on that tape and deciding which parts were essential... but obviously not everything was logged properly* so we had to go through the footage we had and see wether we needed to re-film it or not. At this point I had calmed down a bit until I looked up and saw this person on Facebook, not seeming remotely bothered that we were all about to fail the assignment.
The day ended with us filming anything we were bale to film today; establishing shots and cutaways.
*In order to try involve everyone in the production I tried to make sure everyone had something to do.I assigned the log-sheet to this person but Facebook is more important than passing an assignment and not everything was logged properly.
