Health & Safety and Risk Assessment

I started writing this post about a month and a half ago but forgot all about it, and as Health & Safety is integral for me to pass my assignment I though I had better finish it.
I am first going to list all the locations we are going to be filming and then state the health & safety precautions that will be necessary in that place.
    - Classroom
    - Corridor
    - Lobby
    - On the road
    - Outside the lift on second floor

Below you will find the steps we took to minimise the risk of an accident in the environment we were filming in. At every filming location there was present a first aid kit.

    Classroom
As we were not using ladders or other such potentially hazardous equipment, the risk assessment was fairly simple.
    • Gaffer tape to hold the wires down so nobody trips over them.
    • Room for the dolly to manoeuvre without knocking equipment over
    • Room for extras and people not directly involved with the filming to stand clear and not get in the way of the actors and camera operators.

    Corridor
As the corridor was a public passage and the filming environment was not controlled there were some additional safety measures we had to assume.
    • Signs warning the public that there was filming in progress
    • Gaffer tape to secure loose wires and cords
    • A clear area for film operators and actors to work
    • Room for people to walk by in between takes without being injured by equipment

    Lobby
Like the corridor, we had to assume more precautions whilst filming in the lobby.
    • Signs warning the public that there was filming in progress
    • Gaffer tape to secure loose wires and cords
    • A clear area for film operators and actors to work
    • Room for people to walk by in between takes without getting injured by equipment
    On the road
Filming on the road required the most amount of precautions since it was a public road and we were not able to procure a permit to close the road during filming it would be open to traffic.
    • Hazard tape
    • Traffic cones
    • Room for pedestrians and vehicles to pass safely
    • High visibility jackets
    • Warning signs
    Outside lift on second floor
    • Signs warning the public that there was filming in progress
    • Signs in the lifts warning the public that there is filming on the second floor and should take caution when exiting the lift
    • Gaffer tape to secure loose wires and cords
    • A clear area for film operators and actors to work
    • Room for people to walk by in between takes without getting injured by equipment
